Who is a DO?
A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is a fully trained and licensed physician who graduates from a U.S. osteopathic medical school. DOs receive special training in the musculoskeletal system and offer comprehensive care based on the latest science and technology. They practice medicine according to the latest science and technology but also consider options to complement pharmaceuticals and surgery. As part of their education, DOs receive special training in the musculoskeletal system, your body’s interconnected system of nerves, muscles, and bones. By combining this knowledge with the latest advances in medical technology, they offer patients the most comprehensive care available today.
In addition to standard medical training, DOs receive extra training in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM), a hands-on method for diagnosing and treating patients. This holistic approach emphasizes preventive health care and the body's natural ability to heal, aiming to promote overall wellness.
Dr. Parthasarathy's osteopathic background informs her approach to neurology, allowing her to consider all aspects of a patient's health in diagnosis and treatment. She is dedicated to working collaboratively with her patients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and health goals.
